My Mission with H&H
Like many before me, I found yoga out of my own deep personal need to heal. Chronic pain, autoimmune diseases, and anxiety have colored most of my life. But while I’ve benefitted so deeply from the practice of yoga, I’ve often struggled to fit into the mainstream yoga scene. I know what it’s like to try out studio after studio and feel like if your body can’t keep up with the prescribed flow, maybe you’re not a “real yogi”.
H&H is a place to redefine yoga on our own terms and honor its ancient intent to be a practice that brings greater ease to the body and mind. Beyond any superficial value placed on fancy poses, at H&H we go slow and intentionally, building alignment and creating safety in the body. From that foundation we also begin to tend to our deeper energetic and emotional planes, establishing in our practice a realistic companion to the many up’s and down’s of life.
